PHOENIX ACADEMY
From Ashes of Discontent

Grows the Roses of Success

The Phoenix Academy subscribes to William Glasser's approach to discipline and student interaction. The goal is to help students develop their abilities to make successful choices and to learn to think through the possible consequences of their actions before they act. To this end, Dr. Williams Glasser's Choice Theory is used to discuss problems when they arise and to work out mutually acceptable solutions. By working together we create a successful classroom environment where students take ownership of their learning. Modeling is used to teach students how to meet thier needs and be successful in the school environment. The desired outcome is for students to make appropriate choices and behave when no one is looking.

The Phoenix Academy is designed to accommodate a variety of students in grades 7 & 8.
