The LEAP program is designed to meet the needs of students who want to move up to their grade level. LEAP is made up of students who have fallen behind due to various circumstances and need to “LEAP” grade levels. When students enter LEAP they are ninth graders. In order to be considered for LEAP academy an application and interview process is required. A high emphasis is placed on the students commitment to catch up academically and enter a high school environment. After a successful year in the LEAP Academy students will be promoted to the 10th grade. LEAP students are held to high attendance and behavior standards. The staff of LEAP focus their instructions on meeting the requirements for high school graduation and the transition into a high school environment.
